Goal

One of our priorities is to solve the environmental problems accumulated over decades and to restore the unsystematically disturbed soils due to the peculiarities of mining.

Ongoing project

We started the process by recording the areas damaged as a result of open pit mining in Chiatura Municipality and prepared a reclamation project that defined environmental solutions. According to the project, the soil of all categories of damaged and degraded areas located in Chiatura municipality, which have partially or completely lost their productivity as a result of negative impacts, are subject to reclamation. We carry out the reclamation process in two stages, as a result of which we will get technically and biologically restored areas, which will be combined with the existing landscape. Within the reclamation works, we already have an area of technically recultivated 108.2152 hectares and biologically recultivated 23.22 hectares.
