Pollution is one of the main threats to the environment. The relevance of this problem is constantly increasing throughout the world, including in Georgia. In response to this challenge, we have created the most eco-friendly and volunteer platform, Eco Chiathura. The purpose of the platform is to clean up contaminated areas throughout Chiatura. Everyone can help in this important matter - be it a resident of Chiaturi or a guest.

The aim of Eco Chiathura is to preserve ecology and ecosystems, organize anti-littering campaigns and create environmental awareness among youth.
In the municipalities of Chiatura and Zestafoni, Eco Chiatura constantly carries out cleaning, landscaping, washing and cleaning of roads. In order to manage waste, under the Eco Chiatura initiative, waste sorting bins were installed in all mines and factories of the Chiatura Mining and Processing Plant. The implementation of a waste management system is associated with many problems, which Ecochiatura works to solve every day. In order to avoid pollution caused by moving heavy equipment, heavy equipment launderettes have been installed at 13 locations in Chiathura, through the initiative of Eco Chiathura. As a result, the problem of dust has been eliminated and the roadway is no longer polluted, which, in turn, has a positive effect on air quality.
Among the projects implemented bu Eco Chiatura, the museum court project, which was organized in a historical place where the first tennis court in Georgia was located in 1892, is of particular importance. The development of tennis in Georgia began at the end of the 19th century, after John Tarsey, manager of the English company Forward and Salinas, introduced the residents of Chiatura to the new game. It was then when the British built the first tennis court in Chiatura. Ian Homer was introduced to tennis in Chiatura. The development of the Georgian tennis school began on the initiative of Ian Homer. The first was Chiatura, then Tbilisi, Batumi, and later other cities.
