According to the 2025 results, reclamation works were carried out on up to 200 hectares of land in the Chiatura municipality. Of this area, 100 hectares underwent technical reclamation, while another 100 hectares were restored through biological rehabilitation. The process is implemented within the company’s environmental protection policy and aims to gradually restore areas affected by mining activities.
The reclamation process began with the assessment of territories damaged by open-pit mining and the preparation of a dedicated project that defined environmental solutions. Under the project, degraded soils that have partially or completely lost their productivity are subject to restoration.
The works are carried out in two stages — technical and biological reclamation — resulting in ecologically restored areas that naturally integrate with the existing landscape and contribute to improving the region’s environmental condition.
