We have created the most inquisitive, indefatigable, motivated, and development-oriented platform to create new, trendy educational opportunities for the region in which we operate. The Chiatura Multifunctional Center is an educational hub that allows the youth of Chiatura and Zestafoni to learn modern, most in-demand, and highly paid professions completely free of charge.

Goal

The purpose of the multifunctional center is to increase access to non-formal education, and promote the inclusion of local youth in public life and their active integration into the labor market. The main principle of the center is that education should be equally accessible to everyone. That is why the projects are completely free for everyone who lives in the municipalities of Chiatura and Zestafoni.

Educational programs

The Chiatura Multifunctional Center provides training and development opportunities for both schoolchildren and adults. Based on this, the educational programs it offers are adapted to different ages and interests. The Educational Hub presents nine different educational areas: The digital professions field, civic education field, agricultural professions field, robotics field, student training center, renewable energy specialist field, and tourism field. In the direction of renewable energy and tourism, the certificate issued by the Chiatura Multifunctional Center is recognized by the Ministry of Education of Georgia.

Patent on technology

Graduates of Robotics, who have become the authors of many inventions based on the knowledge acquired in the multifunctional center and present their works at international competitions, are the authors of the smart bins installed in Chiatura. As part of the training course, a model of a smart garbage container was created, which is controlled remotely and works with a self-control mechanism. The test model soon became a real project. Moreover, the multifunctional center registered this technology with the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia and became the owner of a patent, that is a special right.

New laboratory

The Chiatura Multifunctional Center was involved in a project that was launched in partnership with USAID and the Georgian Business Association to develop workforce capacity in the field of renewable energy.
As part of the project, a new laboratory for solar photovoltaic systems, equipped with modern technologies, will open based on a multifunctional center in Chiatura. As a result, students in this area will no longer have to take the practical part of the course in another city, which will significantly simplify the process and create another great opportunity for the region.

Tourism

Tourism is a priority direction for the economic and social development of Chiatura. Sustainable development of tourism reduces the scale of migration from mountainous regions. In order to develop the tourism potential of the region and train personnel necessary for this industry, the multifunctional center is implementing several important projects. Knowledge of English is one of the basic skills that a tourism worker must have. To strengthen this direction and overcome the language barrier, a conversational English course is being implemented in the multifunctional center of the municipality of Chiatura and its villages with the help of invited foreign language teachers. An authorized hotel management program is available at the multifunctional center, which provides all the necessary knowledge a person needs to open his/her own hotel business or develop an existing one. This direction also takes into account the need for digital skills and those interested have the opportunity to learn hotel digital marketing.
