On September 16, 17 and 18, Chiatura will host the Adventure 2022 international adventure tourism festival.
We know it as a mining town, a manganese ore, but Chiatura is much more than that. Ancient archaeological and cultural monuments, karst caves, temples and fortresses, Chiatura has everything to make this city one of the most important tourist areas in Georgia.
Chiatura adventure festival - Adventure 2022 serves mentioned purpose, which, with the initiative and financial support of the "Georgian Manganese", will give festival guests the opportunity to engage in various types of extreme sports for 3 days.
The festival is free and anyone can participate in it.
Lake Mandaeti, hidden in the beautiful nature, is waiting for everyone who loves sailing. A camping zone for 100 people will be organized on Mandaeti Lake. People interested in speleotourism and hiking will have the opportunity to visit the Dzudzuana cave, where the remains of the oldest thread in the world have been found, and the Kotia cave, where the first complete skeleton of a Paleolithic man in the Caucasus has been found. The trek will last 24 hours and the participants will camp in the cave with sleeping bags.
A choreographic performance "Dovin Doven Dovli" will be held in the vicinity of Kotia Cave. The participants of the hike will gather around the bonfire, with torches - this is part of the show that the organizers of Project prepare for the participants of the event.
Adrenaline, dexterity, endurance, vigilance, speed, flexibility, physical strength and fun together - this is rock climbing, for which the climbing route of Katsakhi Sveti and Sveri village is waiting for you.
A 25-kilometer bicycle tour and the most exciting high-line show, delicious food and a camping area - all this presents new perspectives of Chiatura.
Within the framework of the festival, there will be a presentation and discussion about the tourist potential of Chiatura.
The festival will be decorated musically by TAMADA and LOUDspeakers. The festival is presented by Imereti Tour, and the initiator and general sponsor is the Georgian Manganese.
