On October 30, Georgian Manganese traditionally celebrated Metallurgist Day at the Zestaponi Ferroalloy Plant. This year’s professional holiday carried additional significance, as several key technological developments were introduced, contributing to production growth and operational efficiency.
One of the day’s highlights was the commissioning of Furnace No. 28. This marks the fourth furnace fully constructed by the plant’s team. The new unit has a production capacity of up to 75 tons per day, significantly strengthening the plant’s manufacturing potential.
The day also featured the launch of an innovative zero-waste production technology the hyper press representing a new step forward for Georgian metallurgy. The technology enables crushing and briquetting of fine, dispersed, and secondary raw materials, improving environmental standards while enhancing the plant’s technical and economic sustainability.
